Have client that is unmarried The mother of his two children all live with him. He owns home and the mother has no income except the government programs....i.e. medicaid, wic (women, infants, children) for food, formula, diapers, etc and a food card which pays around $500 per month for unwed mothers.

When I try and determine the support test it says to include entire amount of support from all sources.

My question....should I consider the above mentioned as source of support when determining if he pays over half of their support?

He wants to claim the mother of his children on his taxes.

The value of the lodging alone is more than the 500.00 per month that the mother is getting so there should be no question as far as who is providing more than half of the support.
