OHIO LOCAL RETURNS

CAPTAXMAN

For years I have been told by various representatives of intuit that the Efiling of OHIO local returns such as RITA will be forthcoming. Fast forward at 10+years and still no effort appears to be made with this. Intuit's other platforms offer it and still smh as to why Proseries can't.

Its time is way over due or at least address the real reason why  . Intuireturns will be ould be nrwstaff by fon and

I made the same suggestion for Kansas City & St. Louis local returns.

I believe Pro Series added Philly to e-file last year - only because Philly required it.

Get ahead Pro Series

so frustrating!  Listening to a RITA webinar and they have approached Proseries every year and never get a response.  They are only major tax software that does not allow RITA efiling.

A year + later since I made that post comment and guess what?

The question still remains open with no dialogue from Pro-series/Intuit

It's very disappointing and really embarrassing that we have to paper file all of these cities and e-file everything else. Not to mention how time consuming it is prepare the documentation for the client to mail in.

How do you we make this happen?

Pro Series needs to add E-Filing capabilities for Form 37 RITA return in OHIO.  It has been requested for years. Many of Northeastern Ohio local returns fall under this jurisdiction.  It would be a plus if we could tell our clients, we offer full service e-filing for those that need to file RITA.  As such, we have to tell clients our software program DOES NOT support this function.  Not professional.

EVEN ATX OFFERS THIS SERVICE!!

Proseries - please implement E-filing cities!  The big one in Ohio is RITA and here is link to get you started. Tax Professionals - eFile Options for Tax Software Vendors - Regional Income Tax Agency (ritaohio.co...

It's very easy according to RITA and based upon the other tax software vendors that are using it - most all except Proseries!  Tax Professionals - Modernized eFile Approved Software Vendors - Regional Income Tax Agency (ritaohi...

It really is so unprofessional and time consuming to print and mail these forms to clients that have to then turn around and mail into cities.

Talked with RITA recently (ok 2 Fridays ago) and they have stated ad nauseam that it is Intuit that is pushing back on allowing the Pros-Series software to E-file RITA returns.

RITA is dumbfounded as to the "why they won't" because Intuit's other platforms (i.e. ProConnect Online & Lacerte) have the E-filing capability already in place.

So Intuit - can you explain and give some clarity to this ongoing issue?

We really need people to upvote this and then maybe, just maybe they will take action.

Please Intuit!  it is so time consuming to print the forms, attached W-2s and federal forms, mail to client and then have client mail into the cities.
