For years I have been told by various representatives of intuit that the Efiling of OHIO local returns such as RITA will be forthcoming. Fast forward at 10+years and still no effort appears to be made with this. Intuit's other platforms offer it and still smh as to why Proseries can't.
Its time is way over due or at least address the real reason why . Intuireturns will be ould be nrwstaff by fon and
so frustrating! Listening to a RITA webinar and they have approached Proseries every year and never get a response. They are only major tax software that does not allow RITA efiling.
It's very disappointing and really embarrassing that we have to paper file all of these cities and e-file everything else. Not to mention how time consuming it is prepare the documentation for the client to mail in.
Pro Series needs to add E-Filing capabilities for Form 37 RITA return in OHIO. It has been requested for years. Many of Northeastern Ohio local returns fall under this jurisdiction. It would be a plus if we could tell our clients, we offer full service e-filing for those that need to file RITA. As such, we have to tell clients our software program DOES NOT support this function. Not professional.
Talked with RITA recently (ok 2 Fridays ago) and they have stated ad nauseam that it is Intuit that is pushing back on allowing the Pros-Series software to E-file RITA returns.
RITA is dumbfounded as to the "why they won't" because Intuit's other platforms (i.e. ProConnect Online & Lacerte) have the E-filing capability already in place.
So Intuit - can you explain and give some clarity to this ongoing issue?
The 2022 RITA Module is incorrectly applying wrong Tax rates, Credit Factors (Tax credit) and Credit Rates (Credit Limit) for some of the localities. Not to be pain about this but has been an ongoing issue for few years and for this 2022 year additional localities are affected. The last 2 years I have called intuit about it and well nothing changed.
Its one thing that Pro-Series won't allow for RITA E-filing but its a completely different issue when the calculation of tax returns are being processed in error. Please get your *&%$ together cause this is getting frustrating and burdensome.
