I am trying to install updates to several years of ProSeries because Intuit said it was necessary to use the applications from 2024 forward. I either get stuck in a ProSeries update screen or get the following message from Windows:
Get an app to open this 'res' link
Your PC doesn't have an app that can open this link. Try looking for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store.
The Microsoft Store has no such app. Any suggestions?
There was another post with this same exact problem a few weeks ago!
I believe the solution ended up to be a Windows reinstallation, not a full restore, just a reinstall over what they already had...they had a power outage that knocked out their system afterwards they started getting this same error when they tried to update Proseries
