1040_ES forms not final

Why are the 1040-ES forms marked presently "Form Not Final" "Do not File"  Is anyone seeing this.  I have been applying updates, etc.   What has change in these forms that would indicate they are not yet finalized.   Seems odd.

We all are. ProSeries has not finalized the form yet. You can check out release dates through the program or through MyProseries when logging into your account. If holding you up you can always use the 1040-ES from the IRS website as it is final there. We were told 02/18/21 for this particular form.

are the 1040ES's submitted to the IRS when efiling? does it matter if we just efile anyway? my clients don't mail in vouchers anyway and pay online. i have a return ready to file but just saw this myself. crazy.

If this is preventing you from e-filing, you can always check the "Do not calculate estimates" box on the Estimated Tax worksheet, efile the return, and then re-open the return and uncheck the box.
