Is NJ accepting Efilings?

Hello Community,

When I go to get a client's signature, I receive a message that forms are not ready.

Does this mean I can't efile the New Jersey return?

Yes. It looks like they will be out 2/10

Thank you for your response.

I saw that it won't be out till 2/10, but can I efile?

I accidently efiled, I'm waiting for the acknowledgement to see if it was rejected or accepted.

I think you answered your own question. "I accidently efiled" Yes, you can try.

Probably NJ will be rejected and it can be submitted later, separately.

Thanks.

I'll update to see if NJ rejected.

You can file federal now, and state when forms are available. see this link:

Update:  Both the Federal and NJ Tax Returns were efiled and accepted.

I hope this doesn't create an issue for the NJ Tax Return.

This is wrong.  NJ can be e-filed and there is no reason to expect the rejection.  Also, although NJ DOES have an e-file authorization form, it is VOLUNTARY.  You can e-file without it, so long as the federal 8879 form is signed. It is the only advantage to living in NJ, besides not pumping your own gas when it is 19 degrees out.
