Water line outside house busted and not all covered by insurance

My client had his water line bust outside the house. The water ran into the house and destroyed several rooms in the house. Is there anyway the remainder expenses  not covered by insurance can be deducted on return?

No, personal casualty losses are not longer deductible unless they were the result of a federally declared disaster....should have found away to get the insurance to payout for all the expenses, they always lowball unless you press them for more!
