Taxpayers is e-filing married filing joint status.  The physician issued statement to install Stair Lift on their tri-level home so that taxpayer could stay in their home. Taxpayers have medical insurance expenses from Medicare B and supplemental insurance.

What is best way to support this medical expense?  PDF The doctor's statement to e-filing tax return?  Or is there any way of uploading doctor's statement directly?

Thank you very much in advance.  chj63

Just like any back up documentation, keep it in case IRS ever asks for it. No need to attach it.
