Transfering prior year data problem

when I transferred the 2018 data files into 2019 tax software it screwed up ten files and now I can not delete those files on the 2019 program so I can retransfer them again.  what do I do?

Rule # 1 - never transfer files this early.

Rule # 2 - don’t even think about transferring files this early.

Rule # 3 - memorize rules #1 and #2.

 If you can’t delete the files, uninstall and reinstall the program.

Agree.  This often results in serious problems.

If it wont let you delete the files in 2019, try closing the program, reboot the computer and open 2019 again, see if you have better luck.

Or you can always use Windows File manager and Delete them from there, then when you open 2019 again, run Database Maintenance and that should take them out of HomeBase.
