From the "help" button, it eventually refers me to form 8997 which indicates that I should use the "smart worksheet" at the top. It doesn't seem to matter which box on the right I enter the deferred gain, it isn't actually deferring it. I do have the "QOF" box checked on the schedule D.
Has anyone figured it out?
