Is anyone else having issues with MO itemized deductions? My client had enough to itemize on Federal, total $28,876 and state and local income taxes were $4,072 which they subtracted equaling $24,804. The $24,804 is supposed to flow to MO-1040 line 14 but when I look at that line, MO gave them the standard plus the additional because one of the clients is 65 years old - totaling $27,300. Is there an error in the program? My client received a letter from MO saying MO made changes to the return and it should be the $24,804 - they have to respond by 3/28 - even for a 2022 tax return. I appreciate any help or advice.
