I paid for ProSeries Basic by credit card 10/28/2021 . Then to e-file I had to authorize it and pay a fee of $93.70 in addition to even print the forms.

Sounds like you might have downloaded and installed the Professional version and thats what you were using instead of Basic. 

Basic users are allowed to download and use Professional for business returns on a PPR basis, but 1040s prepared/filed in Professional would also end up being PPR.

If your top toolbar looks like this, youre using Professional...this is an older year, but the toolbar is similar. Basic would have a very different look.
