How can you find out if the IRS accepted your S-Elections

If you file for an extension for an S and it is rejected because it is the wrong type of return, that's also an indicator.

Your client should have received a letter providing that info.

He does not remember if he received an acknowledgement or cant find papers.
I do know the bookkeeper had his signature and mailed the original form.

The easy way to find out is e-file the return.  If it bounces, you know the election wasn't approved.
