Client has negative income on the federal so contributions are limited to zero. When I transferred to Alabama, the cash contributions amount came over as zero, not the $14,600 he had contributed. The non-cash contributions flowed over correctly. Because it did not transfer over the cash contributions amount, I had to manually enter the $14,600 so that he would have his Alabama Contribution carryover since he was limited in AL to zero also on Schedule A.
Heads up to watch for this error when transferring. Cash Contribution carryovers on the State will not show up so that the client gets his contribution carryover to next year.
