1095-A and CA F3895: I am doing both the parents' and dependent child's returns. Both of the child's returns were rejected because the 1095-A was not originally included. When I entered the 1095-A for the child, the software shows an error, because child's filing status is "claimed by someone else." So how do I get around the error? Parents' 1040 accepted; CA was rejected.

What is the exact message of the original rejection?

It should not have been rejected if you have it marked that somebody else is claiming him as a dependent.  Or did you check the boxes to say that somebody else COULD claim him as a dependent, but then said that person is NOT actually claiming him?

Is there a way for me to discuss this you outside of the community?  Are you available for that type of communication?
