Why form 8965 is not generating when I click on the preview form?

Possibly because it is not required. Possibly because you did not complete the input correctly. Look at the instructions for 8965. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i8965--dft.pdf

When I search for the form it appears, just wont appear if i check on "preview forms". The household has 3 kids and 2 adults, the kids had coverage thru the state but for the adults the marketplace wasn't affordable.

Yes, but I did found the answer, there is a check box on a 1040, if it is checked the form 8965 is not required to be send. Thanks.  https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8965

No, you cannot use that option because your clients do not qualify.  You need to complete the form and file it with the return.  Suggest you read the filing instructions in details again.

@info My apologies for jumping the gun.  I didn't realize that the reporting requirements for this year has changed.  Evidently, full year exemption based on unaffordable premium would not need to be separately reported. :sweat_smile:
