I need to send a client their 2018 tax return that was successfully received by the irs in Oct 2019. Yet when I pull that record up on proconnect, it shows as unsubmitted and has diagnostics for e-filing with all of the covid-19 requirements.
Do I now have to have the client submit to the irs directly to get that return? Why would it have changed back to unsubmitted?
The status shouldn't have changed. Sometimes, people create multiple copies of a return for various reasons. If you're certain that's the copy submitted, you should contact Support so that they can look into it for you.
