Married filing separately in a community state

I am preparing a married filing separately return for the community state of Idaho.  Client is high income earner with 2 W2s.  I know I mark "MFS" under filing status in the client info screen, and need to complete the "community property income allocation" schedule but it seems that I only enter 1/2 of the actual W2 in the input for the W2.  Is this correct?

How will the system also know that there was excess social security tax paid if the correct W2's are not entered but only 1/2 is entered into the W2 screen?

As well as how will it calculate the additional medicare tax owed due to high wages?
