    Solar Tax Credits

    I know this is probably a silly question, but maybe I can get the answer I want to hear, lol.

    I have solar panels on my home. I did not purchase system outright, but I do pay monthly.  Can I take the residential solar credit for what I paid in 2019?  I can't find any info on the IRS website for installment payments, but I'm still liable for $20k in solar panels. Thanks in advance!
