When trying to convert and transmit a return, ProSeries Professional or Basic Edition 2020 may give the following error:

  • The preparer on this return has a PTIN that has not been verified...
  • Not transmitted, the selected returns was not successfully converted...

A checkbox to indicate a 'PTIN is verified correct' was added in Tools > Options under Firm/Preparer Info

Check this box and click OK to save the change, then transmit the return as normal.
