I think you need to add some more substance to your question, once you mark the year box on the 1040X your return should be considered an Amended return by the software.
You should open the 1040X and mark that year box prior to making any changes to the return that youre amending for.
Im not sure what an AmendedReturnInd box is or where youre seeing this.
