Although all system requirements have not yet been provided I can tell you 32 bit will no longer be supported so you'd definitely want to go 64bit.

thanks planning ahead for 2019 tax season. Any other comments that intuit can provide about system requirements for 2019 tax season would be greatly appreciated. How will this impact the ability of the 2018 32 bit tax data files being transferred into 2019 64 bit tax date files? Or do I not understand tax data files details?

Can no longer access some prior year pro series professional tax data files due to Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7. Had been using Windows 7 since 2011.

It would not have impact on the data files themselves.  And basic requirements pretty much carry over year over year.

You may want to work with tech support during "down time" after season, because your OS shouldn't affect your ability to access prior data files unless the data itself is corrupt or extremely old data.
