Split MFJ return into two MFS using basic

Does BASIC have the split return command buried somewhere?

If not, I assume I would have to create 2 returns and switch taxpayer and spouse and enter the info for the taxpayer and no earnings for a spouse. Does this sound right?

TIA

No.

That is one option.  But you can open the file in Professional to split it.  Then finish things up with the new files in Basic.
