Self Employment Tax Deferral

Emilio
Level 1

I am using the method recommended by Proseries to allocate the amount in Line 18 from line 3 from the Sch Se form resulting in the 50% of Social Security Tax deferral and I have applied it to my clients, however, some of my clients have had problems with their refunds not getting that specific amount related to the defferral amount. I know that this is not a refundable credit but a deferral of payment, but once you deferred this Se Tax consequently my client's refund inceases.

Can you please advise on why the IRS is not refunding the amounts related to the Self Employment Tax Deferral?

Am I doing something Wrong?

Thank you!
