rental income 1099-MISC

HOPE2
Level 8

Last year, my client received five 1099-MISC forms for each property rented to the county. But, for 2023, the county provided a single 1099-MISC for all of them. Now, I am wondering how to allocate the income between each rental. Fortunately, the client has given me a handy breakdown for each of them.

My problem is when I enter 1099-MISC, I can link it just to one property!

Any help!

Don't enter the 1099-MISC.

Directly enter the rental income for each property.

Don't enter the 1099-MISC.

Directly enter the rental income for each property.

Then don't enter it.  As long as the grand total is inlcuded within all of your properties you don't need the 1099 for data entry. Go to each Schedule E or 8825, depending upon the type of return you're preparing.
