Just tried to set up a client for direct debit in PS for July 13th due to the extended time to pay related to corona/Covid-19.

Getting an error message that the latest for direct debit allowed is 4/15/2020.

When will Proseries update the software to reflect the TY19 90-day payment extension for direct debit clients?

Thanks Lisa!  A friend who uses CCH just received word from her software that if anyone wants to pay after 4/15 they have to do so by paper voucher or IRS Direct Pay because IRS rules will not allow the software companies to set up direct debit for post-4/15 during the regular filing period.

Give them a payment voucher to mail a check later, or they can pay using IRS DirectPay website when its closer to July.

I doubt they will be reprogramming things for this one time situation.

Thank you for confirming, this is what Ive been telling people.

Even IRS DirectPay limits payment to be scheduled no more than 30 days in advance.
