New Jersey Part Year Resident Return

Level 1

I am a Indiana tax preparer and need to file a New Jersey return for a new client that moved to Indiana in 2022.  He sold his house and they withheld a nonresident tax and I am trying to figure out how to get this back.  Is there a New Jersey preparer that would be willing to help me with this? Do I need to file a NJ-1040 for the time he was in New Jersey and then also file a NJ-1040NR to get this back?

at the bottom of the fed info worksheet enter the residency dates for each state. Enter the NJ withholding from sale of property as as a NJ estimated payment. File part Year NJ return and PT year IA return allocating and apportioning income as appropriate. The PY returns will have allocation worksheets
