Client received Form 8986 increasing the 2018 LTCL to be reported on the 2021 Form 1040. I manually prepared Form 8978 and Form 8978 Schedule A to calculate the total decrease in taxes from the AAR adjustment. I attached the pdf files to the tax return, but I belief we won't be able to efile the return and will have to paper-file the return, but I still need to know where/how to enter the tax decrease on the 2021 Form 1040?
