Have to enter acquisition date twice on Asset Entry worksheet when you select Yes to the Economic Stimulus question.

When entering a new asset on the Asset Entry worksheet, including acquisition date at the top of the worksheet, you must re-enter the acquisition date in the Disposition section of the work if you answer yes to the Economic Stimulus question.

Has anyone else run into this?

These are two dates, the acquisition date and the date placed in service.  They are not necessarily the same and the law requires both.

If I were a programmer, I'd either move the acquisition date up to the top or, more likely, put a checkbox to indicate the acquisition date is the same as the date placed in service.  As it is now, yeah, it's annoying.
