Client has foreign earned income from one country in addition to domestic income. Income flows from 2555 to 1116. I presume it is general category income. Tried to enter foreign tax paid on the foreign tax credit worksheet and get and error that the total is larger than all state and local taxes.? I believe the reference is to Schedule A - standard deduction anyway. How do I get the foreign tax paid to calculate on the 1116?
