My client did not have any insurance in 2023. So I am getting the Reject: Error F8962-070r. He was MFS and had $11K Adj Gross Inc and $5K taxable income.
I tried to do an exemption (code A) on F 3853, but it won't allow it unless I put a much higher income in the MFS with Separate Property Income Smart Worksheet.
The only other option I can think is to just mark no ACA on the 1095-A and provide an "ACA explanation" as an attachment.
Can someone clarify why I can't do the Code A exemption? I haven't had much luck searching for that.
