Delete a return in the database rejection file

I recently had a return rejected due to a death of a spouse.  I had to paper file the return instead.  However, the rejected return has stayed on my rejected return screen and I would like to remove it.  Does anyone know how to accomplish this?  In addition, is there a way looking at any of the other screens (pending, accepted, all) is there a way to not have any return highlighted?  I can't open a new clients file because there is always automatically a previous filed return highlighted.  I am forced to change my home based view to a category I don't use in order to access my client database.  Hope that makes sense to someone.  That is why I like having nothing in the rejected file.  I can quickly click on that empty category and access my clients.
