According to the IRS installment agreements (>120 days) set up by phone, mail, or in person have a setup fee. Apparently, those e-filed also fall in that category. Why?

It would help if those details were included on the software page so the client could make an informed choice.

As with most instructions that have various/specific details, you wont see those listed prominently on the form itself or in the software (unless you clicked the yellow ? mark and chose to read the instructions from there)....the IRS website is the easiest place to find current information like this.
