2020 Minnesota Tax Law Changes on July 1 2020

When will ProSeries update software for Minnesota Tax Code Changes signed into law on 7/1/21. The Minnesota Department of Revenue updated forms for tax year 2020 to reflect changes.

I asked this question just before you the other day and neither of us have received a reply. 🙄  It sure would be nice to get an idea if its next week or end of August.

During tax season prime time you would probably be waiting a couple of weeks after the State updated it.  At this time of year, it's going to be awhile.  Intuit doesn't tend to share that kind of information --------- they don't like to disappoint customers if they are a day or two late.  The standard line from Intuit is always "it will be corrected in a future update".

We appreciate your concern regarding the updates in Minnesota as a result of the state law changes enacted on July 1, 2021.  

We are currently analyzing the changes for a release in the near future. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact timing for that release (IRonMaN was right).  But as noted in the press release by Minnesota regarding the changes, taxpayers can continue to file on the previous version of the forms through August 2nd, 2021.
