Form 8949 code O with null Proceeds and Cost values

rwspiegel

I have many Master Limited Partnership dispositions. A common feature of these transactions is that they require adjustments to the 1099-B, broker, statements. This transaction needs to show on Form 8949 with box F selected. A correctly displayed adjustment will have no values (null) in column D and E of form 8949, will have a code "O" in column F, and will have the adjustment amount in column G. Column H will show the same value as column G.

The only way I can get ProConnect to show anything in 8949 F is to enter a bogus value, like $1, in either column D or E. Then I have to change the correct Adjustment amount to account for the bogus column D or E.

We need a way to leave column D and E empty/null, and put the correct amount in column G.

Thanks

Thanks for the idea to  leave column D and E empty/null, and put the correct amount in column G on 1099-B  . We are changing the status to "Open for voting".
