Registered Domestic Partners filing as MFJ in a community property state but single for Federal

Since the RDP are in a community property state I have to split their income. Everything I've read said create the state return as MFJ and then split all community property income (in my case W2 income) down the middle. How can I enter income from John's w2 on Bill's return? The W2 will have a SNN that is not the taxpayers and that will create a diagnostic.

You'd file the federal returns with a F.8958.

So am I entering all income on form 8958 or just the non-taxpayers income? Do I enter the taxpayers W2 in the income screen with 1/2 of all the values? Thanks

You may like to refer to the form instructions that have all the details, which include references to RDP.
