I just accidentally efiled a return instead of the extension. Can I undo it if it's just received by Intuit ?

No, you can't.  Your only hope is that the return gets rejected.  Otherwise, you'll need to file an amended return.

You can’t.  But if you don’t know the original numbers how would you know you need to amend?

Because, 6 months later when I went to efile the actual return, the status reported the return had been accepted back on the day I MEANT to extend.

Get an IRS transcript to see what is in their system.
