I have multiple W-2s with social security withholding. Only one of them is reflected on line 11 of Sch 3. Why is this happening? I see both amounts when I preview forms.

Hi there,

Only social security taxes withheld in excess of the maximum would flow to Sch 3. Did the client change jobs during the year? Or, if the return is married filing joint, do you have the W-2s coded to the correct person (taxpayer/spouse)?

Single, client changed jobs during the year. I think the software is calculating it correctly since she would only get the excess withholding back.
