Is mortgage insurance premium still deductible for a Sch E rental property

This is a single family home rented all year. There is 2K of Mortgage insurance premiums in addtion to mortgage interest and property taxes.  It was originally the client's personal residence but was converted to a rental in 2015. Are we still able to deduct mortgage insurance premiums in 2018 for investment property.  This single Taxpayers AGI is only $74K.

Hi itonewbie, can you give me any more details or a site on this? Thank you.

That is because this is not governed by §163, which is modified by TCJA, but §212.
