Direct Deposit Information appearing on return

MIRA1
Level 2

In the process of adding tax information to the clients that where added on a mass scale.  When the information is added for direct deposit, this information when there is a refund due to the client, does not appear on either the federal or state return.

Is there an override to correct?

1. You posted in the wrong spot. This area is for programming items you wish to see in the future, not for programming issues you are encountering. e.g. It would be nice if entering the zip code would fill in the city and state information. This is a feature not in the program I would like.   GENERALLY post your question at https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/proconnect-tax/discussion/03/304

2. I am guessing the problem you have is that data was converted from another program. Look at the Misc. Info./Direct Deposit area - there are two check boxes at the beginning of that input. Have they been checked?

Yes, those are checked, but the information is still not following through to the return.

Next guess - Go to 2023 estimate - is the refund being applied. What does the Letter say about refunds?

We are adding clients to Proconnect due to 2023 being the first year we use it.  The information is from 2022 and if the client was added for Proforma it will not flow through to the return.  If I add the client individually, the information is ok.  So not sure what happened during the transfer of information from one software to the other.

Lots of things don't transfer during a conversion and lots of things get messed up.

Each return needs to be checked carefully.

Especially confirm any carryovers - look with great care at any state tax returns - best done to get the 2022 to match what you have and then do the proforma as late as possible, since that feature is often not really ready to work properly until e-file opens, even then there are often bugs.

There are no carryovers, its a simple tax return.  So will see if the transfer to 2023 will help with the issue.
