Save Those SS-4s

BobKamman

Helped clients set up an LLC, then S status, back in 2013 when they acquired an ice-cream franchise.  Applied for and received the EIN online.  Today they asked me if I still had a copy of the SS-4, because DoorDash was not going to pay them their money until they saw it.

My project this summer was going to be cleaning out old files.  Yes, we scan some of them, but a 10-year-old SS-4?  I found it.  Next question:  People order ice cream through DoorDash?  Really?

That is the type of thing we try to save in our Permanent File for each client.

Our system is not fool proof, though, but it has come in handy.

Always good to try to save things. Always good to make and retain copies. Always good to try to do things manually if you can. Always good not to over rely on the computer.

@sjrcpa is it "fool proof" or "full proof" or both?🤔🤓
