diagnostics screen - font size

jenhorton

Options allows us to change the size of the font on the input screens, but not on the diagnostics screen.

The font on the diagnostics seems to be getting smaller, albeit I realize I am getting older!  But please, can we have a way to increase the font on the diagnostic screen?  I can barely read them.... and I may need to address an issue.

Easier to read means "Saves Me Time"

Thanks!

I'm new to Lacerte and the font on the diagnostics screen is incredibly small!  This shouldn't be considered a program "enhancement" if the diagnostics aren't readable by its users, Please fix this!

Windows Start Menu > Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout

Is it set at 100%? Have you tried %125? (Warning: change to Scale will scramble your desktop shortcuts if that is at all paramount to you!?!)

Beyond %125, in my experience, Windows and most applications, become unsound. Intuit/Thomson/CCH do not allow/account for exponential scale increase. Also they would much rather Host all your applications which (I presume) Scale infinitely as they live inside your Browser as a Web App.

Eventually items will not appear on your screen because there is no space. And some applications will print wonky if Scale is exaggerated. (Go ahead guess if it was Junior partner, or Senior partner that conscripted me to dive into this rabbit hole!?)

I just tried that but it doesn't seem to affect the size of the diagnostics, thank you for the suggestion though!

Any vision challenged instead of Diagnostic tab, use Forms tab and then the Diagnostics sheet? I'm looking at it now and it's as big as the window in which you're operating. Big ol' blue text on white background for those of you still mourning WordPerfect.

Now that IS a good idea.  That will definitely allow me to read these diagnostics.

Albeit, if I want to mark off the diagnostic as having been addressed, I still need to be able to READ what I'm marking off so I know it the correct diagnostic.

Like the idea though!  I'll go to the forms page to read it until Intuit fixes the problem and allows for a larger font there!

THANKS USER ID 61 !  Very helpful.

Happy to help. There's Magnifier, but that usually only ends up frustrating me.

Use Magnifier to make things on the screen easier to see

I agree with the previous comments.  the font size on the diagnostics is so small I can hardly read them.  And I have a large monitor.  Please fix this!
