We wanted to make sure our workpaper numbers for gross income were matching Lacerte's, but when our sum was falling short, Lacerte didn't have a breakdown for us to compare our numbers to. Thankfully a customer service representative assisted us, but we would have saved a lot of time if we had a calculation worksheet to begin with.
