Screen 54 > Sections (in lower left) Schedule B - Nonrefundable Credits > NYC School Tax Credit  > Credit (O] enter the -1 for a zero.

NYC School Tax Credit - Credit [O]

Schedule B - Nonrefundable CreditsScreen 54; Code 51

Enter an amount here to override the NYC School Tax Credit that is automatically computed for Form NYC-1127, Schedule B. The program will automatically compute this credit using the NYC School Tax Credit Tables based on three factors:

1) The filing Status Reported on Form NYC-1127, Page 1.

2) The entry made in “Number of Months Employeed by NYC (if not Full Year)” (Screen 54.097, Codes 8 and 9) – if left blank the program will assume that the employee was a nonresident employee of NYC for the entire year.

3) The Federal AGI, Minus IRA distributions. If “1=MFJ and electing not to include spouse’s income” (Screen 54.097, Code 2) is checked then you must make an entry in Code 51 “Fed AGI, minus IRA distributions”. If left blank the program will continue to use the total Federal AGI, minus IRA distributions to compute the credit.

Here's wishing you many Happy Returns
