How do I limit preparer access to specific only clients?

1. Put their data on a separate drive and only give access to that drive.
or
2. Use passwords for each client and only give him the passwords for clients he can access.

Thank you. Do you know of a way to separate client data cleanly. The user program is pointed to the seperate drive but the company files are all directed to the same location?

Besides switching over to Pro Connect it is too bad Intuit does not have a less janky way of limiting access to their customer's client data.

Back them up from where they are and restore to where you want them to be.
