Lacerte issued guidance re signing in OFFLINE in Dec 2019 and updated it Dec 11, 2020. I run Lacerte on a standalone computer.
Guidance says that after signing in via an internet connection it will be possible to sign in offline any time desired. I found that guidance to be true when preparing 2019 tax returns. I had no sign in issues. It is no longer true.
I am now unable to sign in offline for the 2020, 2019, nor the 2018 programs.
I spoke for about 3 hours with 4 different Lacerte tech support people today and none was able to resolve the issue.
