I have a related party client "A" that disposed of an asset that was being reported as a prior year installment sale basis on the books of client "B". I am trying to get Part III, Form 6252 to populate for Client "B", but I can't get Lacerte to report any information on the required lines when I enter the related party information of Client "A" for line 27 and the date of the sale during the tax year for line 29a. Is there a box that I need to put additional information in to make Part III populate with the info. I entered? The date of sale was more than 2 years after the related party acquired it, but it still seems like the information is required to be reported in Part III since the final payment on the installment sale did not occur in 2020.
