If you have an Excel document open from either your C drive, Fileserver, or DMS, and you try to open another Excel document from DMS, the DMS system will not allow you to open a second Excel document without closing your prior Excel document.
This is a real problem and causes inefficiencies in needing to drag the Excel document from DMS to your desktop to be able to work on it and remember to save it on your desktop before dragging it back to DMS.
How can this be avoided? Why can we not have more than one Excel document open at a time?
