Using an e-file PIN signature option to electronically sign the extension eliminates the need to scan and attach a PDF copy of Form 8453-EO. If you choose to attach Form 8453-EO, you must enter either "1=Form 8453-EO(990/EZ/PF)" or "2=Form 8453-EO(8868)" for the 8453-EO PDF attachment on the "Electronic Return File Attachments" detail screen.
