The following diagnostic is generating:
The California SOS number is required and must be 12 digits when e-filing a 568. Please enter the SOS number in screen 1. A valid SOS number must start with a 19 or 20.
Solution:
Click on the diagnostic in the Diagnostics tab or go to Detail screen 1, scroll down to the California Information section, and enter the California SOS number in the 'Sec of State File #' line. If this diagnostic persists after entry it's because the current number entered does not meet the states schema rules and we feel that if it is not altered it will be rejected by the state. This input is required for e-file purposes.
